Resilience is responding to adversity positively.
"When I realised how my response to adversity was negatively impacting my health, I knew I needed to make some changes. I have two autoimmune diseases and I could easily let them get the better of me. My daily response can be negative or positive and either of these responses will impact me in the long term. I have learnt how building resilience can develop the part of the brain responsible for the creativity and strategic thinking to enable me to respond to adversity positively. Building resilience down regulates the fight/flight response allowing time to take control to consider the options when faced with day to day challenges.
I am now focused, health and able to challenge my thoughts before responding to adversity. I choose to pay attention to the things which matter to me and as a result, a have an abundance of energy, vitality, health and wellbeing to be the best version of me."
